A Richmond, Va. learning systems management company is seeking a part-time Sales Assistant to drive business growth opportunities through RFP Support activities. This position is responsible for maintaining and improving effective systems for responding to RFPs received through Gyrus Marketing processes


We are seeking someone who is self-motivated, exhibits extreme attention for detail and enjoys writing descriptive information similar to Grant-writing approaches. A great candidate has positive energy and enthusiasm, works well in a small office environment, enjoys working together as a team and is looking for a career home with a fast-growing company.


Responsibilities include:

  • Responds to RFPs with clear, concise and descriptive answers to potential clients’ requests and needs
  • Follows up with submitted RFPs in a timely manner with consistency and diligence
  • Conducts on-line demonstrations to potential customers in a structured, precise and clear manner
  • Maintains understanding of Gyrus products and services to effectively communicate with potential clients as well as to help retain existing clients



An ideal candidate would have proficiency in:

  • Grant writing processes
  • Written and verbal communication – great command of English language, grammar and descriptive writing
  • Written communications - strong typing, spelling and descriptive-writing skills
  • Strong interpersonal communication skills, including telephone skills and etiquette
  • Prioritization - meeting deadlines


Compensation and Work Parameters

  • Hourly with opportunity for bonus
  • Begins at part-time with potential to grow into full-time (Mon-Fri)
  • Opportunity to work from home is available after a 90-day onboarding period
